After launching a unique and distinctive range of nutritional supplements mid-2022, Greenfields set up a test panel for Mobility+; a nutritional supplement especially developed for dogs who could use joint support. After studying the findings, Greenfields is now able to proudly present the results.
Containing two patented ingredients UC-II® and Ovopet®, plus a curcumin extract with very high bioavailability, expectations of a good effect when using Mobility+ were there. Even though it was no surprise the study showed good results, a reliable test panel provided us with valuable feedback after a time period of 8 weeks.
At the start of the study, each participant (N=24) received a vial of Mobility+ (contents 60 capsules, daily dosage 1 capsule). Over more than half (62%) of the most common joint problems were stiffness and osteoarthritis, some dogs were officially diagnosed and for some strong presumptions of osteoarthritis. The most noted visible symptoms of these complaints were lacking behind along with difficulty getting up.
Evaluation of condition at start and after administration Mobility+
After just 4 weeks, 14 dogs were in good condition and after 8 weeks it increased up to 17 dogs. A handful of dogs unfortunately experienced no big improvements, some were most likely related to their weight (+55 kg) and some were already on other medication. We concluded the dosage for heavy dogs should be 2 capsules a day.
*The group of ‘very poor’ to ‘poor’ decreased from 42% to 13% over the coure of 8 weeks. *The group of ‘moderate’ to ‘good’ increased from 8% to 71% over the course of 8 weeks.
All in all, we are very pleased with the positive and promising results from the study on dogs with joint problems such as osteoarthritis or hip dysplasia.
